Karma Lake of Menteith is a breathtaking lakeside residence in Stirling that can accommodate 48 guests. Featuring spacious rooms with en suites, bright conservatories and a dining room with wooden deck all overlooking the placid waters of the lake, the resort captures a perfect mix of tranquility, tradition and high end comfort. Nature is right on your doorstep, as are historic settlements, castles and the famous city of Stirling with its iconic castle.


The 18 bedroom hotel, originally the manse to the adjacent church, was converted to an Inn in 1888. The building was extensively modernised to become a hotel in 1937. It is situated on the North Eastern shore of the Lake of Menteith, formerly known as Loch Inchmahome. Inchmahome Island in the centre of the lake is a popular tourist destination, upon which the ancient Inchmahome Abbey ruins are to be found, where allegedly young Mary Queen of Scots once sought refuge. This is a dog friendly establishment, and a perfect location for countryside walks.

Deluxe Room

The Deluxe Rooms at Karma Lake of Menteith are wonderfully spacious and comfortable; complete with large en-suite bathrooms including roll-top bath tubs, double sinks, walk-in showers and soft bathrobes. This room type boasts fabulous views of the Lake and beyond to the picturesque hills & mountains.

These attractive well-appointed rooms feature en-suite baths with showers.

Superior Room

These large ground floor rooms feature windows offering fabulous unbroken views over the Lake. Modest sized en-suite baths with bathrobes and showers. These rooms are dog Friendly and perfect for your four-legged friends to enjoy.


We take a farm to table approach, sourcing the very best ingredients from Scotland and the wider British Isles to create delicious dishes that reflect the rich culinary heritage of the region – simple, tasty food, lovingly prepared and perfectly in tune with the surrounding environment.

Restaurant & Bar

Directly overlooking The Lake with a large wooden deck and terracing along the waterfront. Seasonal local timber and stone with Oak beams and a huge open hearth fireplace all create a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. Horse Riding

Join local experienced leaders, located close to Karma Lake of Menteith, who will escort you on one of their adaptable reliable mounts. You will have the opportunity to reach your own personal potential on their 1 hour or 2 hour treks. In the course of their treks you will cover various forms of terrain hill stream and woodland.

Sun Terrace
